Lessons from Animals: Passing On
They say that when you die, you are healed on all levels: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. I believe with all my heart that this is true. This knowledge, and the desire to assist our divine four-legged friends as they make their decision to move on from their physical form has led me to offer Sunvet Animal Wellness Clinic’s Back to Spirit services. We also provide Back to Spirit intuitive check-ins to help ascertain if your honorable canine or feline companion is ready to leave her body. If so, we provide in-home veterinary assistance.
Amazing Grace
Somehow, when it came to my fourteen-year-old Lhasa Apso, Gracie, it was harder for me to remain neutral when I assessed her and her apparent decline. Such a beautiful being, she had been the doggie greeter for our clinic since she had been rescued about 8 years ago. Gracie was my daughter’s constant companion as Tess was shuffled back and forth between my apartment and her dad’s house. This dear being was a ‘reject’ from a puppy mill with one eye that wandered, severe allergies, chronic hip dysplasia from an early age and a heart of gold.
My conversations with Amazing Grace were all about her still wanting to take on the world, until one day, they weren’t. One day she decided she wanted to ‘leave before her body got any worse’. I doubted myself and my abilities when faced with Gracie’s abrupt decision and called my friend, Michelle Bentley, a gifted animal communicator for a second opinion. All was as it should be and, indeed, it was time for Grace Almighty to transition.
She asked that it be just me and her. She did not want a bunch of emotional discharge on that beautiful fall morning of short walks, bacon and peaceful goodbyes. She looked into my eyes as her head gently rested on my hand and her chest fell one last time. Unconditional Sweetness and away she went.
I left her in the early morning puddle of sun and went to the creek feeling her release and my aching heart. Waves of sorrow moved through my heart and up into the welcoming arms of the Tall Ones, the trees. Finally, I became soft and hushed and in this space of silence, I heard the words, “I’ve got this.” Blessed be and thank you, G-Factor, for everything you brought to me and to everyone you shone upon!
‘I wasn’t aware of traveling at any particular speed. I just felt light and unburdened as the sucking motion drew me up inside a chamber of thick silvery blue lights. People who have near death experiences sometimes say they went through a tunnel. I’m using the word “chamber” because a tunnel has sides, but no matter what direction I looked, there was nothing but light as far as I could see…
And even though I didn’t have my body anymore, it felt like I did and that it was being healed. The lights in the chamber penetrated me and made me feel better and better as they pulled me up… In the first nanosecond that the lights touched me, they erased any harm I suffered during my lifetime: physical, mental, emotional or otherwise.”
