Curbside Appointments and Pickup

At Sunvet Animal Wellness Clinic, we are doing everything we can to be here for you and your furry friend during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Until further notice, we will continue to offer curbside pickup and appointments 8:30am – 5pm Monday thru Thursday.

Only animals will be allowed inside for appointments for the foreseeable future.

We ask all who are coming to us to notify us in advance if they feel they are at risk for COVID-19 and to take preventative measures for the safety of themselves and others. If you have been exposed to COVID-19, please call us to reschedule your appointment.

Here’s what to expect when you come to the clinic for an appointment or to pickup supplies for your furry friend.


Curbside Appointments

Check-in Process

When you arrive at the clinic, park in the designated spots in front of the building by our lovely garden.

Please wait in your car and text your name and parking spot number to 828-254-2221 to let us know you’ve arrived. A staff member will call you as soon as possible to complete the check-in process.

If you are unable to send a text, call us instead. If you are unable to reach us by phone, please do not leave us a voicemail or come to the door.

Once you let us know you have arrived, we will take your payment information over the phone. Then our vet assistant will meet you in the parking lot to escort your furry friend into the clinic.

All clients are required to stay in the parking lot during the appointment.

To limit staff exposure, please wear a face mask covering your mouth and nose during curbside check-in.

During the Appointment

Once your furry friend is in the clinic, Dr. Laurel will perform a physical exam and then call you to consult for the remaining appointment time.

Please plan stay in the parking lot and take notes during the appointment.

If you are a new client visiting the clinic for the first time, Dr. Laurel will come to your car to meet you at the beginning of the appointment.

We are going above and beyond to create a positive, low-stress experience for your four-leggeds during their appointments. We will do any services you and Dr. Laurel determine your furry friend needs all while prioritizing their comfort and safety. This includes things like…

  • Moving slowly so that they have time to adapt to coming into the clinic without you
  • Using flower essences and Adaptil/Feliway for calming
  • Encouraging them with treats & TLC

Check-out Process

Once you and Dr. Laurel finish your consultation, our vet assistant will prepare any medicines, supplements, or products your furry friend needs.

When she escorts your four-legged back out to the car, the vet assistant will bring your products and invoice for the visit and answer any questions you have about administering the medicines or supplements.

We ask that all clients please wear a mask during the check-out process as well.

We will use the payment info you provide at check-in to process your payment later the same day.


Ordering Supplies & Medications

Please place your orders for products or refills in advance.

We need a minimum of 4-6 hours notice to fill prescription requests and prepare orders for supplements and other products.  We will do our best to fulfill your order as quickly as possible, but unfortunately, we may not be able to accommodate requests with quick turnarounds.

We are a small team, and the pandemic has resulted in an increased call volume and order requests. We are all working diligently to care for your furry friends, and this means that occasionally all the phone lines are in use and/or all staff members are assisting with patients. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

To place an order for supplies and/or medications, you can…

  • Call us at 828-254-2221 and leave a message on our dedicated ‘Order and Refill Request’ line. That’s option # 2 on the main menu.
  • send an email to info@sunvetanimalwellness.com

When you place an order, we will take your payment info over the phone and then ready your order for curbside pickup in our lockbox. All orders must be paid in advance.

We will text you when your order is ready. Please do not come to the clinic to pick up your order unless you have received a notification that your order is ready.
