Linda is our part-time receptionist and resident file-fairy. She can find a misplaced file even after the rest of us have spent days looking for it. Seriously. It’s magic! She’s been at the clinic since 2014, and we couldn’t imagine Sunvet without her warm and caring presence.
We sat down with Linda to learn a little more about her life and experience in the veterinary field.
Tell us a little about your fur babies – What are your animals’ personalities like?
Rose, my 3 year old Yorkie-Pomeranian mix, is a forever puppy. She loves long walks and playing with dogs three times her size. Sassy Sashay is my long-haired tuxedo kitty. She got her name from her sassy, prancing walk and the way she swishes her long, fluffy tail back and forth. And then there’s my little tortoiseshell firecracker named Atti (short for Attitude). Her name says it all. There’s never a dull moment with those three little cuties around!
How did you end up working in the veterinary field?
Just happened to be walking by a veterinary clinic with a help wanted sign in the window. My lucky day! I have been working with animals ever since.
What’s the best part of your job?
Giving and receiving love from the animals and their people.
What is the sweetest animal relationship moment you’ve ever witnessed?
Our cat BooBoo had just had a litter of kittens and loved to move the kittens around from place to place. One day, while we were sitting in the living room, BooBoo walks by carrying one of the kittens and then right behind her comes our cocker spaniel Newly… also carrying one of the kittens. So sweet!
Who would you most like to swap places with for one day?
If I could swap places with any being for one day, I would like to be a firefly. It would be amazing to be able to fly and emit beautiful light at the same time.
What’s your favorite place in the world?
My favorite place in the world is anywhere I can be outside with the people and animals that I love.
If you were a crayon, what color would you be and why?
Yellow, the color of sunshine. As for why…it makes me happy! 🙂
