My love of animals began in early childhood when I secreted kittens in the closet in hopes our parents wouldn’t find out. Over the years, I have more than made up for all those unclaimed kittens. I share my life and space with my two cats: Attie, who was abandoned beside I-85 weighing less than 2 lbs and Sashay, also abandoned with her babies when her family moved away. Then there is my dog Rosebud, orphaned as a tiny puppy and destined to be mine.

My spiritual strength grew as I raised two wonderful children alone, survived Guillain-Barre, and continued with my love of animals. Although I’ve had several career paths, most of my experience has been learned while in veterinary practices (20 years). I also spent years developing my own petsitting business where I cared for and loved those pets like my own. When not fully engaged at Sunvet, I enjoy visiting with my dear children and grandchildren in the Atlanta area. I am also an avid outdoor person; I love biking, hiking and gardening. I find great peace among the flowers and dragonflies.
