Holistic Consultations offer our unique synergy of conventional, preventative, intuitive and alternative veterinary medicine for patients who are experiencing physical or emotional issues, as well as for general wellness and preventative care for healthier patients.
We specialize in listening to our patients’ needs and take great care to treat each being who comes into our practice as the unique individual that they are. No two appointments are exactly the same because we tailor each visit to your dog or cat’s specific needs.
In these sessions, Dr. Laurel uses applied kinesiology to dive deeper into core issues that are not easily addressed with conventional veterinary practices. Some reasons people choose to bring their cats and dogs to Sunvet Animal Wellness Clinic include:
- Chronic illnesses
- Sudden acute issues like vomiting or diarrhea
- Recent cancer diagnosis
- Mobility issues
- Wellness visits
- Alternative vaccine protocols
- Fear of veterinary visits
- Behavior changes/issues
- Diagnosis and treatment of hard-to-diagnose symptoms
- And many more…
Whatever the reason for your dog’s or cat’s visit to Sunvet Animal Wellness Clinic, we will look beneath the surface and offer you helpful insight into far more than just their physical issues. Often, emotional or other issues are the deeper origin of discomfort, allergies and other physical symptoms. That’s why we take a holistic and comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment.

NEW PATIENT INTAKE APPOINTMENTS
New Patient Intake Appointments set the foundation for the individualized, holistic care Dr. Laurel prioritizes in her practice. It is quality time that we value, as we establish a relationship with you and your four-legged friend.

ANNUAL WELLNESS EXAMS
We recommend yearly wellness exams for all healthy and young adult cats and dogs. In addition to evaluating the patient’s physical health, at these appointments, Dr. Laurel uses applied kinesiology to assess your animal companion’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Your dog or cat may also get vaccine titers, vaccines, or have bloodwork done during his or her annual wellness visit.
We also offer comprehensive diagnostic testing to help give you additional insight into your furry friend’s well-being.
SENIOR SEMI-ANNUAL WELLNESS EXAMS
We recommend bringing senior dogs and cats in for a wellness exam every six months. In addition to evaluating the patient’s physical health, at these appointments, Dr. Laurel uses applied kinesiology to assess the patient’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Your dog or cat may get vaccine titers, vaccines, or have blood work done during this visit. We reserve additional time for these consultations, as senior pets benefit from additional support.

For existing clients who live more than one hour away or have older dogs and cats with mobility issues, we offer virtual holistic consultations.
